Carpenter experience requirements

This position requires a person who is physically fit, capable of lifting heavy materials and ready to stand for extended periods A qualified Carpenter can work with power tools and bladed objects such as bow saws, hammer and chisel, nail guns and drills. They are expected to work in almost all weather conditions, and should also be able to maintain a good balance while working on ladders and roofs.

Plumber
Plumber duties and responsibilities
• Installing, maintaining and repairing pipe including joins valves, drains and fixtures in all types of structures
• Coordinating with a general contractor and other building professionals
• Understanding and following blueprints or building plan
• Following current rules and regulations related to plumbing to ensure that systems pass inspection for the first time.
• Responding to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue and making a repair
• Performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies

• Working with clients to ensure they complete the work according to the requirements

• Preparing painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls

• Carrying out solid plastering as well as applying wet finishes
• Fitting internal plasterboards, also referred to as dry lining or wallboard. This task can involve affixing partitions
• Installing outer coverings, such as pebble-dash or sand, om outside walls for protection
• Using moulds and casts for the creation of ornaments and other types of plaster work
• Understanding and managing the quantities of material required for the job
